John Wedel started tree farming after he retired from teaching high school — though farming had been a lifelong interest, having raised pigs, chickens, cows and horses at various points along the way.
For the last twenty years, trees have become his passion. He has grown many different varieties, including magnolias, katsuras, Japanese maples and more.
If there is a particular species you would like to see us grow, we will gladly consider it. We look forward to meeting new buyers and to continuing our relationships with returning customers.
Visiting the farm? Please reach out to Grant Wedel first and he will be happy to let John know you'd like to swing by.
Sustainably grown. To reduce soil loss and improve sustainability, we now sell our trees exclusively as bare-root stock rather than bag-and-burlap.
